Working a little longer

The most powerful lever, and often underestimated: in Luxembourg, postponing your departure triggers no décote.

Three cumulative gains, zero décote

Each additional month acts through three independent channels: the majorations forfaitaires (up to 40 years), the majorations proportionnelles (additional income) and the proportional rate by crossing the seuil d'échelonnement (up to the cap of 2,05 %). The formula is identical at 57, 60 and 65 years old.

How much does it bring in?

The calculator directly compares retirement at 57, 60 and 65 based on your profile and quantifies the difference. It is the simplest way to visualise the gain from one or two extra years.

What about leaving earlier?

Working longer raises the amount, but is sometimes also required to open the right. Early retirement needs a qualifying period: 480 months (40 years) of compulsory insurance at 57; 480 months (incl. 120 contributory), gradually raised to 488 months by 2030, at 60; only 120 months (10 years) at 65. The comparator shows whether each door is open for your profile.
